Symptoms Of Anxiety

Anxiety can cause very severe social set backs in life. It effects most all of us in one way or another. The causes of anxiety can be anything from the bills stacking up or just plain fear of having an anxiety attack. The symptoms of anxiety can be devastating.

I personally have lived with panic and anxiety for most of my life. I do not know at what age it started developing or really the cause of it. I do know the very first time it manifested itself. Let me tell you, that was a moment I will never forget.

When I look back at that moment, I remember standing at a J.C. Penney service desk trying to get a credit application approved on site. I was about nineteen yours old. The woman behind the desk took the application and asked me to wait while she ran it through.

Well, I'm standing there and all hell breaks loose. My body tightened up. I felt my face get beat red hot and I started sweating profusely. It was so bad that I just walked out, never knowing if I got the credit. When I got out to my car, all I could do was sit there with all my confidence shattered in one horrid moment.

From that point on I pretty much lived with the constant fear of having another attack. Well, I have had tons of attacks. It got to the point where I finally realized that what was going on was that the fear itself was causing them to occur.

One of the side effects of this problem, at least for me was that it drove me to excel in certain areas of my life. I started a manufacturing business that really thrived for a good portion of sixteen years.

Eventually, I pretty much out grew this problem. The thing is, it took me about half my lifetime. When I look back and realize that I probably did not have to suffer that way if I just confronted myself and found help somewhere. That really is the purpose of this article. I want people to understand that they do not have to go through what I had to.

If you think about it for a second, look at all the missed opportunities in life if you do not find help. Could you ever talk in front of a large gathering let alone a small one? Could you thrive in a healthy and meaningful relationship if your loved one has a social personality? Can you have fun at a party without having that drink?

In closing what you have to know is there is no shame. But it would be a huge mistake not to find help.
