Will You? - Holding A Dream For Another

Sometimes when we move forward in life toward a very big dream, it may feel like too much of a leap in consciousness for us to hold all by ourselves. It is at those times that we need to reach out and find someone who believes in us and shares our vision so much that they will gladly and powerfully hold that vision for us. It is a privilege for them to do so and they know it.

Though your dreams may vary from mine, they all come from that same place. Your dreams are the gateway to your soul. It is the dream realized that sets your soul to dancing and it is the dance that matters, it is the dance that sets you free. Remember, you did not come here to sit on the sidelines and watch. You came here to dance.

I have written a piece entitled "Will You" that for me personifies what it means to have the honor of holding a dream for another person. And I share this piece here with you today:

Will you see me in the way I want to be, and not the way I am now?

Will you shelter my dream, and hold it close, and give it life?

Will you feel my desire, and know it, in your own soul?

Will you hold what is real for me, when I am lost in this illusion of fear and doubt?

Will you believe in me, especially when I can’t, or won’t believe in myself?

Will you catch sight of my victory, as you go about your day, and smile for me?

Will you cradle my heart, when it is about to break, and give it back to me, healed and whole?

Will you never waver, never falter, never tremble?

Will you cushion the blow, when I fall down, and can’t get up?

Will you imagine me bigger than I am, greater than I am, grander than I am?

Will you enfold me in the magic, in the wonder, in the miracle of it all?

Will you summon the angels, when things get in the way?

Will you have room for both of us, in the quiet meditations of your own mind?

Will you anticipate me anticipating, something even greater, something even sweeter?

Will you hold onto my dream, when I am tired and weary, and I’ve almost given up?

Will you appreciate how very far I’ve come, and just how close I am?

Will you keep the faith, even when the outer circumstances of my life, seem bleak?

Will you remember that nothing is impossible, and remind me?

Will you be the one who refuses to listen to my excuses, my ramblings, my utterings, my doubts?

Will you celebrate my small victories along the way?

Will you refuse to allow me to give up, no matter what?

Will you lead me home to myself, and help me to see, that I really had it all the time?

Will you play with me, like children making up their life?

Will you see to it that I don’t take any of this for granted?

Will you behold me, resplendent in my success, and giddy in my victory?

Will you?
