Writing online is becoming more and more popular. The possibilities of monetizing your writing ideas and the vast area of niches to write in are virtually endless.Despite people's dreams to work as internet writers, only a few of those who start writing online, succeed. Many internet writers fail.

Is online writing all it is cracked up to be? Can you become a genius writer? Or is failure certain? Let us take a look at the real reasons why most book writers and internet writers fail. You will be surprised how easy it is to succeed or fail with these just these simple suggestions.

The number one reason why book writers and internet writers fail is giving up too soon. Patience is golden in this business. Often times when writers do not make money right away or only see a trickle of income, they get very discouraged. It is not easy mentally and psychologically to spend hours researching and writing in hopes to start earning money in a few months. It is also difficult not having any guaranties as to when you will start making money and how much. So instead of sticking with it people give up before they even start seeing any earnings. Often they give up when they are one hair close to a break in their income. Did you know that most famous writers went through the same ups and downs as you may be experiencing right now? Most started out with nothing and made nothing for many years before finally making a good income.

Set some goals early on. Do not reach for the sky. Keep your goals in reach and celebrate the small achievements. Be realistic and stay focused on each goal or each achievement.

Self doubt is a killer. Don't make this mistake. Keep your spirits up and don't dwell on your failures. A number of book writers or internet writers believe that writing is a realistic and profitable occupation, but they don't know whether they have what it takes to become successful. It is normal for any writer to have doubts once in awhile, but when it becomes a pattern, they will most likely fail. If you love writing and are persistent your efforts will pay off.

Motivation in the wrong direction is never good. If you write with the thoughts to just make money. You have already failed. Don't make this mistake. Readers are very smart and can smell a fake a mile away. The best way to lose your readers is too write poor quality content just to get traffic to your website or to try and sell your products. Keep your writing centered on something you are passionate about and you will not fall into this deadly trap.

Time and efforts go hand in hand in this business. You will not become rich or like those famous writers right away, but you will have a very good chance of accomplishing that ultimate goal if you stick to your goals. Most writers start out very green and improve over time. Keep at it, stay positive, keep yourself motivated and passionate about what you write about. In the end everything will start to fall into place and you will start to see your efforts pay off. The name of the game is not to give up.
