In today's world, the emphasis often seems to be on convenience. Much of the newer technologies stand out based on how much more convenient they make tasks than older technologies. Modern society may have become acclimated to shortcuts, and this can often carry over to elements of our personal lives. The things that we want in our lives, we typically want in the most expeditious and easiest way possible.

This shortest path to the destination approach often applies to matters where people are attempting to improve themselves in some way or other, or to make their lives better. Having said that it's not unusual to hear that for certain things there is no shortcut, and that only diligent and consistent effort will show results. In fact, there's a tendency even to criticize methods or a mindset that looks for a quick or easy solution to resolving situations.

One particular problem solving technique however not only embraces the notion of easy solutions, but is quite proud of it. The ho'oponopono problem solving method is often described by its enthusiasts as the simplest and least resistant way to change one's life for the better. This way of describing ho'oponopono is appealing to some, but raises suspicion among others because it claims to bypass something many people think is inevitable: hard work.

Ho'oponopono is actually a form that's been practiced for generations. The traditional form of ho'oponopono was a process whereby entire families would come together to resolve disputes. Traditional ho'oponopono required every individual connected to the dispute in some way or other to be present during dispute resolution, and for someone to take a leadership role and guide the entire process. An updated form of ho'oponopono claims to have altered the ho'oponopono process to involve only an individual and the source of all creation, or God, or however one prefers to refer to such an entity. It's worth noting that though ho'oponopono involves connecting to some form of source power, it is not an organized religious practice.

Those who practice and embrace ho'oponopono claim that results are easy to come by, though not necessarily timely. The timeframe under which positive change occurs in ho'oponopono is not predictable, but according to true believers, it is assured. Though ho'oponopono is far from being a universally accepted technique, it has generated increasing amounts of interest and notoriety and has a dedicated group of practitioners and supporters. The claims for ho'oponopono's successes may not be documented under controlled experiment conditions, but the claims do exist, with various people testifying to their authenticity.

Learn what it means to loose your life to God and find the life you were created to live.

  • The History of Mont St. Michel (Bob and Penny Lord)
Mont St. Michel, was once a Shrine to Belen, the Celtic god of Light. It later became a Shrine to the Roman Mercury. It did not become a Christian place of worship until the 5th century, when it was occupied by hermits from the other side of the channel (somewhere in the British Isles, as it is now known, probably from Ireland).

  • Prophecy, Revival & Discernment (Phillip Ross)
We have a Romantic understanding of revival, as if it is a sweet and glorious time -- like a family reunion or picnic. But real revival, real reformation is traumatic. It divides as well as unites.

  • To Have Life More Abundantly (Scott F Paradis)
What we really desire more than anything is to have life and have it abundantly. To recognize the promise and fulfill the potential of life we must live by faith. A power greater than self is guiding us home.

  • Get Your House Organized for Passover (Alicia Rockmore and Sarah Welch)
March 29, 2010 marks the beginning of Passover. If you are Jewish, it is week when family and community come together to celebrate the Exodus. The hallmark of this observance is the removal of all leaven from the home, which commemorates the fact that the Jews leaving Egypt were in a hurry, and did not have time to let their bread rise. It is also a symbolic way to remove the "puffiness," or arrogance and pride, from the soul.
