Hi Linda,
Thanks for your question - organic search results are those coming directly from search engines like Google, eg. from the listing of your site on their normal results pages. So not from the anchor text link in your resource box. Although using such anchor text can boost the traffic coming from organic search by increasing your ranking over time.

I submit articles to about 10 directories, and some of them allow anchor links, some only the standard URL. When I review Google Analytics, are the Google organic results those from when someone clicks on the anchor link?

Thanks for this article. It seems the resource box is extremely important for the success of one's article marketing. You are the only one that explained it in detail.

Thanks for the tips. All useful stuff and while it's hard sometimes to resist the urge to include multiple links, I think you're right. Tell people one thing you want them to do and there's a greater chance they'll do it!
