Resource Box Rehab: Author Resource Boxes of the Rich and Famous

Well, I don't know if these folks are actually rich and famous, but these are the first round of folks who are being added to our Resource Box Rehab Hall of Fame, because their resource boxes are pretty darn good just as they are!

Let me go through this first batch (we'll add more folks to the Resource Box Rehab Hall Of Fame as time goes on), and then I'll tell you why these resource boxes have got the right stuff:

*****

*****

Why do these resource boxes get a gold star?

They each indclude:

  • an author name
  • a little bio info
  • a reason to click through to the website
  • a link to their website
  • and they're also of appropriate length (up to 450 characters including spaces)

Now, when we asked for folks to share their resource boxes, by necessity people had to submit their basic one, knowing that once you have a strong basic resource box, it can be customized at a later point to suit each article you submit.

All of these resource boxes listed above are excellent foundations for a customized resource box (we'll go into how to customize a resource box soon in another post), so each of these will be better once the author customizes them to suit each unique article (and I'll see if I can find out some article examples from these folks so you can see how to customize your resource box).

When perusing the list of Resource Box Rehab participants, I did see several other resource boxes that are also exceptional and will be added to the "Hall Of Fame" later.

I think I'll add a few at a time spotlighted in separate posts (like this one) rather than just giving a whole long list. That way, by listing only a few it will really bring attention to those who make the list and will give them some time in the limelight :-) Plus, it's easier to learn from 4, rather than 40!

So, you'll be seeing these "Resource Box Hall of Fame" posts pop up now and then, and I'll be compiling all the "hall of famers" into a master list.

I'd like to use the Resource Box Hall of Fame List as a teaching tool for folks who read this blog, or members of SubmitYOURArticle.com who are just not sure what a great resource box looks like.

A BIG thanks to all of you who are participating in this ongoing project–we are going through the entire list and are picking out resource boxes that are representative of common areas where folks can improve, then we're doing blog posts that give specific examples and show you how to do a makeover of your resource box.

Your resource box may be chosen as a makeover subject, but even if it isn't from looking at the other resource boxes we're spotlighting, you should be able to take your resource box up a few notches just by watching how other resource boxes have been made over!
