Should You Use Article Submission Software to Submit Your Already-Written Articles?

Posted By Steve Shaw On September 13, 2010 @ 12:00 am In Article Marketing Tips,How To Submit Articles | 5 Comments

Many people who become convinced of the benefits of submitting articles automatically with article submission software wonder this question:

What if I’ve already submitted my articles to other sites manually? Can I also submit them using your article submitter software [1], or would that be a bad idea?

Good question, and I hope this answer sets your mind at ease. The answer I am about to give applies to people who are members of SubmitYOURArticle.com.

Maybe you can opt out…

If you have already submitted articles to some sites, there are a handful of article directories that you can opt-out of on SubmitYOURArticle.com so that you don’t do a double submission. Those sites are currently: Ezine Articles, Article Alley, Articles Base, Go Articles, Idea Marketers, and Search Warp.

For all other publishers on our distribution list, you can’t opt-out, so it would only be these 6 that you could choose to opt-out of (and you can opt back in when you’re submitting an article that hasn’t been submitted to them before).

What if I’ve already manually submitted the article to a site that I cannot opt out of?

You have two options:

1 – Rework the articles that you have manually submitted so that they are fresh.

Our distribution list is large, so it may be worth it re-work your previously published articles a bit so that they’re not exactly the same as the ones you’ve already submitted. Then of course you’re also welcome to use our ArticleLeverage system to create more variations. This would allow your articles to get greater exposure than they have before, while also not re-submitting duplicate articles to the sites you’ve already submitted to.

2- Don’t rework the articles.

If you do choose to resubmit your previously submitted articles without making changes, some site owners are not too happy when this happens, especially if it’s persistent. However, we are unaware of specific negative consequences for the author from doing so (with the exception of Ezine Articles).

One thing you might want to take into consideration is how widely you have already distributed the article. If you have only submitted your article to a few sites (and most people who submit manually only do so to a few sites, since it is so time consuming), then it may not be that much of a risk.

The worst thing that could happen would be that you get into trouble with the directory–article declined, and in the extreme a warning on your account (although that would be rare).

Probably the most strict of the directories is EzineArticles.com, and you can opt out of that site when submitting via SubmitYOURArticle.com (and opt back in when you have fresh articles). With the other sites, I have not noticed any negative consequences to doing one or two double submissions.
