Article Submission Software: Does It Really Work?
Published By Google+
article submission software--does it work?

It's kind of like a coffee shop vs. a coffee maker.

So, you’ve been submitting articles manually for a while and are getting tired of it–I don’t blame you! Maybe you’ve heard about article submission software and are wondering if it’s right for you.

First off, I’d like to clarify the difference between article submission software and an online article submission service.

Article submission software is something that you buy, install on your computer and use, sort of like you would buy and use a coffee maker.

An online article submission service (such as is a web-based membership site, so there is no installation involved. The the work is largely done for you, sort of like a coffee shop.

So, you can imagine: coffee maker vs. Starbucks.

Okay, maybe not the perfect comparison–nothing wrong with a coffee maker. It gets the job done if you only want a few cups of joe.

But what about article submission software–does it get the job done?

Does Article Submission Software Work?

Here are some things to keep in mind when using article submission software:

-You need to go to each site to submit your article (the software basically helps you fill in the fields).

-You’ll need to individually register with many of the sites they list.

-You’ll need to keep your site list, email publisher list, etc. all up to date – many of the lists provided with software like this are quickly out of date.

-You will have no editorial assistance, so you’re on your own.

Is it easier than submitting manually? A little bit, but there is the extra work involved of maintaining the lists and such. You can use software as an alternative to manual submissions, and although the software can help, it does still tend to be a manual process.

Article Submission Service v. Article Submission Software

The article submission service was actually developed after trying to use some article submission software, which was found to still make article submissions a difficult time-consuming process (and after receiving numerous spam complaints from the ‘publisher’ email list that was included – most of it in fact was out-dated and irrelevant).

Some find the software suitable, but our service enables you to simply enter your article into the system, and click to distribute – we take care of the rest. This frees up your time to concentrate on writing quality articles – and effectively outsourcing the distribution of them – and to concentrate on building up your business.

We don’t manually submit articles. Articles are automatically distributed, which allows for a much wider distribution at low cost than would be possible via a manual method, so the benefits are much increased, and there are no discernible disadvantages to automatically submitting articles, as opposed to a manual submission process. And the vast majority of our distribution network consists of publishers who have specifically requested to receive content from our members.

Should you use an article submission service or article submission software?

It’s depends on how much time and energy you’re interested in saving. It also depends on the results you’re looking for. I myself have “been there, done that” with both and vastly prefer the simplicity and convenience of using

  1. Your comments and views are well presented, because it all boils down to time, money and quality.

The main question that comes to mind is “what type of return do I want from my article writing efforts?” If the submission software in use submits to low ranking (PR0 to 1) sites only, will my article be seen in the mainstream media?

It is a personal choice after all, depending on affordability and convenience.

In reply to the above comment–thank you for your thoughts. Yes, it depends on what the person is expecting as far as results and also how much time they are willing to invest. With the online article submission service, our goal is to allow the member to get the results they’re looking for with minimal effort.

  3. I must agree. The submission service is the better choice if you don’t have the time to fill in the blanks with the software. I must add that you have to consider the exposure you will receive with the online service — and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

When submitting to, do I need to include the {spin|twist|twirl} tags?

  5. Steve Shaw says:

    Hi Buck,

Regarding your question about the the {spin|twist|twirl} tags: Not at present, but we’re working on introducing this type of functionality soon.
