Coming Soon … Multi-Pen Names @ Gold Level (and more …)
Published By Google+

I’m excited to announce we’ll be very soon making multi-pen names available to our Gold Level members. The culmination of three months’ worth of development behind the scenes to integrate this capability in our systems, this will enable Gold Level members to add any number of pen names to their account and submit articles under those pen names.

For example, many members I’ve been in contact with or spoken with personally have indicated a desire to be able to use different pen names for different niches they are in. This will give them that capability.

At the same time, for all members, we’ll also be launching a brand new and updated version of our Members Area. This will provide a number of major benefits for members, including:

  • Enhanced management of member articles
  • Improved and simplified workflow
  • Improved help information provided throughout the Member Area, including the provision of video help and tutorials for members

We’re aiming to have all of this available within the next couple of weeks … I look forward to making a further announcement very soon, so keep checking back or be sure to check your email!

    I’d love to see multiple pen names, excited that’s coming. How is that going to work with our various article submission site accounts? I still seem to run into having my account name (different from my pen name) attached to some articles.

  6. Steve Shaw says:

    @Lorien: Hi Lorien,

    Each pen name that’s set up will require separate log ins for the main article directories like EzineArticles.com, GoArticles.com etc. so that the new pen name will work with them. Sites like EzineArticles.com allow different pen names so it may be that the log in info is the same for a new pen name as it is for your existing ‘name’, in which case you’d just enter in the same info, but you’d have the option of submitting to a different account if you wish.

    Hope that helps…
    Steve

    Steve,

    This is fantastic — bravo!!! One issue though…

    We’ve had two SubmitYourArticles just so we could submit under two different names (and have been an affiliate for a long time too).

    Can you PLEASE make provisions for that? We don’t want to lose the search engine rankings and traffic stats on our smaller (but older) account at all. But It would make sense for us to consolidate under ONE account now, instead of paying for two, with the new feature you’re rolling out.

    Please let us know! Keep up the great work!

  8. Splendid! This is good news – something I’ve been waiting for since forever ;-)

    Warmly,

    Jon

  9. Leanne says:

    This is great news Steve. I work in several different niches, so this feature will really let me get the most out of SYA – can’t wait!

  10. That’s good news about multiple pen names, at present I have been paying for two accounts to enable me to write under two names – expensive!!

  11. Woo Hoo! That’s GREAT news! I was really disappointed when I found out that I wasn’t going to be able to do that and almost didn’t join.

    Now I’m glad I did and this is a huge incentive to stick with the program!

    Thanks, Steve!

    This is very important. There is competitive software now that does more for a little more money. I would really love to see this come as soon as possible.

    What is the ETA on these updates?

    Bill

  14. Steve Shaw says:

    @John: Once we’re live with it, John, please just get in touch and we should be able to help with that.

  15. Steve Shaw says:

    @Bill Wynne: should be this week or early next

  16. Yes!
    This is great news, Steve. I’ve been waiting for this since I joined and am extremely pleased you are implementing this feature.
    Soonah da bettah…lol!
    Seriously, this will provide your service with the competitive edge for many of us with multiple niches/pen-names. Bravo!

  20. Steve Shaw says:

    @Andi Beark: Hi Andi,

    The launch of multi-pen names is still on. We are getting things set up to roll it out very soon. I’ll keep you informed.

  21. Ingrid says:

    Hello Steve,
    Can you help me with a pen name for use as a global online teacher?
    Your help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ingrid

  22. Steve Shaw says:

    @Ingrid: Hi Ingrid,

    Sure–If you don’t want to use your own name, then you can create a pen name. Here are some pointers with creating pen names:

    Be sure that the pen name that you create has a first name and last name and sound like a real person’s name.

    Be sure that your name isn’t promotional (referencing your business or website name).

    Other than that, the sky is the limit! I hope that helps.

    Just let me know if you have any other questions…
