How To Submit Articles: Article Announcement Lists
Published By Google+

Over the last few posts I’ve been teaching you the ins and outs of how to submit articles.

A few posts back I told you about the 3 methods you can use when submitting articles and the pros and cons of each.

Here are your choices:

You can submit articles manually, with article submission software, or via an online article submission service.

Submitting articles by hand is the most time consuming method of the three, and it produces the most modest results. Nonetheless, I know that some people feel more comfortable taking things slow when they are considering using a website marketing tool that is new to them.

I’ve been offering some help to anyone who is interested in submitting manually. In the last post we covered how to do an ezine article submission. This time we’re covering how to submit articles to announcement lists.

Let’s start with the basics:

What Is An Article Announcement List?

An article announcement list is a type of mailing list that focuses on free reprint articles. An article announcement list has subscribers–most subscribers are either publishers in the market for content, writers of that content, or possibly both.

Each article you submit to these article announcement lists is distributed to all of the subscribers for that list. If you submit your article to several article announcement lists, you can effectively submit your article to thousands of potential publishers.

How To Submit Articles To Article Announcement Lists

In order to be able to submit your article to the article announcement lists, you will first need to subscribe to the list.

This is the catch: If you want to submit your articles to the announcement lists, you have to agree to receive other people’s articles. This usually translates into “inbox overload”. Article announcement lists can generate a lot of email.

One way that you can get around the large influx of emails is to subscribe using an email that is completely different your main email address. You can set up a free Yahoo or Gmail email that you use specifically for the announcement lists.

Alternatively, if you decide to submit via, we can take care of things for you so that your articles are distributed to several lists, but you don’t receive any emails from the announcement lists. Best of both worlds, eh?

Where To Find Article Announcement Lists

Just to make things easier on you, I’ve put together a list of several article announcement lists.

Where Else Can I Submit Articles?

I’ve saved the most familiar one for last–Article Directories. We’ll cover that one next time.
