How to Master Marketing With Articles
Published By Google+

Would you like to learn how to master the article marketing process?

Even if you’re feeling very awkward in your new roles of “writer” and “article marketer”, you can take comfort in the fact that anyone can master marketing with articles. Even you!

First things first: What is required of you?

In order to do article marketing, you will need to write articles on a steady basis on a specific topic. Whatever the topic of your website is, that should be the topic of your articles.

For example, as you know, my website is SubmitYOURArticle.com. The general topic of my site is article marketing. That means that all of my articles are about various aspects of article marketing.

This brings us to our first master tip…

Master Tip #1: You can write an endless quantity of articles on your specific niche.

I am not saying that you feel like you can write an endless quantity of articles–I’m saying that you can do it.

Even though you probably feel like you can’t, you can.

I know this from my own personal experience, because there was a time when I couldn’t even imagine that I’d be able to write a steady stream of articles. And here I am, 7 years later, still writing.

And I still get excited about what I write; I still have new ideas.

Sure, there are some dry spells when I struggle, but I’ve seen enough dry spells to know that if I stick with it the ideas will start to flow again.

I wouldn’t classify myself as a “writer”–I am an online business owner who is passionate about my work and about my niche. But I have learned to express myself through writing. You can learn to do this too.

It may be slow going at the beginning–that is normal. It is going to take you a little while to get used to writing several articles a month. If you’re submitting through SubmitYOURArticle.com, then we advise writing 8 articles a month for each website that you’re marketing.

I encourage you to gradually work up to that number–perhaps the first month you’ll just submit one or two articles. You’re still getting the hang of this whole process, but I think it helps to take things slow and not overwhelm yourself.

Set a goal for yourself of working up to writing 8 articles a month. This will require work, but it is quite doable.

Master Tip #2: Quality matters.

The quality of your articles matters.

The quality of your resource box matters.

The quality of your short description matters.

The quality of your title matters.

The quality of your introductory paragraph and your concluding paragraph matters.

It all matters.

Think of each article submission as being a personal representative of YOU.

Everything you publish on the internet should speak of quality and professionalism.

Master Tip #3: The secret to success is constancy of purpose.”

I keep that quote from Benjamin Disraeli beside my desk. It reminds me to keep on plugging along. It reminds me that a huge part of being successful is just showing up every day and putting in the work.

You can show this constancy of purpose with your articles by submitting articles consistently every month over the long haul.

If you’re like most people, it will likely take 6 months of steady article submissions before you see your first spike of traffic from the search engines. That is not to say that there are not rewards from marketing with articles before that time. That is just to say that the main benefit of article marketing is an improved ranking in Google, and that takes time.

Don’t give up. You can do this.

Master Tip #4: Learn about keywords.

Keywords are critically important to article marketing and should form the basis of your whole article marketing campaign. Otherwise your article marketing will at worst be severely under-performing, and at best you’ll certainly be leaving a lot of the benefits you could have otherwise had on the table.

You will see your best results if you accept that and try to learn more about how to use keywords in your article marketing campaign.

Master Tip #5: Identify your target market.

Your target market is the group of people who are potentially interested in your products and services.

Do you have a clear picture of who these people are for you?

The clearer your idea of who your target market is, the easier it will be for you to write effective articles.

Remember, all of your articles are written for these specific people. Your target readers/customers will be doing searches online for what interests them, and hopefully your website and your articles will show up high in the results lists.

If you do not write effective articles that specifically apply to the needs of your target market, you will be missing a huge opportunity.

Conclusion

These 5 tips I’ve listed here. There are no tricks and no short cuts here–this is just plain old fashioned hard work, consistency and planning. The bright side is that anyone willing to follow these tips can master marketing with articles.
